NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces the recent promotion of Brian Shibles to executive vice president and treasurer.
Shibles was hired in 2002 as the vice president of finance. In 2006, he was promoted to vice president and chief financial officer. In 2009, he was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer.
As executive vice president and treasurer, his responsibilities include functioning as the bank’s chief financial officer with oversight of the finance and facilities areas. He is involved with many of the bank’s strategic initiatives, including implementing new technology, product development and establishment of new branches.
He is a 2008 graduate of the National School of Banking in Fairfield, Conn., where he was the valedictorian of his class. He is also is the 2008 winner of the Norway Savings Bank President’s Award.
