NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces the recent promotion of Steve Whitney to executive vice president — risk management, deposit operations and information technology. His responsibilities include risk management and deposit operations and oversight of the information technology area.
Whitney was hired in 2006 as vice president — risk manager. Prior to working at Norway Savings Bank, he was the senior vice president — retail payments and business development at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for 34 years.
He graduated with a bachelor of science degree with honors in management from Northeastern University and has also received his MBA from the same university. He also graduated from the Federal Reserve System Leadership Institute at Northwestern and completed the Greater Boston Executive Program at MIT. In 2008, he was awarded the Norway Savings Bank Communication Award.
