Turner PBIS team community night

TURNER — The PBIS (positive behavior interventions and support) team at Turner Elementary School will hold a community family night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.

The PBIS team reinforces positive student behaviors in all areas of the school and on the bus. The team gets feedback from students and staff on ways to celebrate their success.

The team’s goal is to incorporate more community and family involvement so the positive reinforcements are carried over throughout the students’ entire day. The first step towards this goal is to invite families and the community to the first PBIS family night.

During the night group members will educate guests on the different aspects of PBIS and school expectations, as well as celebrate student success.

Over the course of the night there will be facing painting, the wildcat mascot, door prizes and a concert by the Veggies by Day.
