RUMFORD — Philip H. Weston, 84, a resident of Victorian Villa in Canton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, at Rumford Community Hospital in Rumford.
He was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Mount Vernon, the son of Harry and Virginia (Ingham) Weston. Philip attended school in Winthrop.
He married Marjorie White in 1952, and they had a son, Philip. On June 24, 1967, he married Ann Child, of Wilton, the love of his life. They made their home in Wilton.
Philip worked for over 25 years at Forster Manufacturing in Wilton. They later moved to the Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center in Canton in 2009. Philip enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the Maine coast, attending Country music concerts and bowling. He was a member of the Dixfield Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Phil was a sweet, simple man, who supported his wife unconditionally. Everyone enjoyed his dry sense of humor and wit.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Weston of Canton; his son, Philip A. Weston and his wife, Linda, of Gray; two grandchildren, Brian Weston, and Philip Weston Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister and a grandson, Bobby Weston.
