LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has announced that it has all the Maine Student Book Award nominees for 2013-14.

The Maine Student Book Award is designed to expand literary horizons of students in grades four to eight by encouraging them to read, evaluate and enjoy a selection of new books and to choose a statewide favorite by written ballot each spring.

The ballot for this year’s Maine Student Book Award is posted on the left sidebar of the webpage: http://msba.umeedu.maine.edu/.

April 1 is the deadline for the submitting the ballot. In the catalogue (https://treat.biblionix.com/atoz/catalog/), type in MSBA in the search window for a list of the books.

The library staff is encouraging students in grades four to eight to read books from the list and cast their vote by the due date.

As tax time approaches, residents have an opportunity to support public libraries using Schedule CP – Charitable Contributions and Purchase of Park Passes. Schedule CP is associated with Maine Income Tax Forms and is used to make specific charitable contributions.
