This is in response to the letter from George Mathews, printed Jan. 23. He offered a rebuttal to the Sun Journal editorial printed Jan. 19 that favored the expansion of Medicaid in Maine.
The Sun Journal editorial was the usual progressive opinion, but Mathews offered many great ideas that made a lot more sense than the editorial.
I would like to see more of Mathews’ type of thinking in the editorials. He did a great job.
