CLINTON (AP) — A hammer-wielding bandit has struck again, robbing a bank twice in less than three weeks in Maine.
The Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1enYNMn ) reported that Skowhegan Savings Bank in Bingham was robbed on Tuesday by a man described by police as wearing a ski mask and wielding a hammer. Last month, a man fitting the same description robbed Camden National Bank, also on Main Street in Bingham.
In both cases, the robber was armed only with a hammer.
Police have said there were no suspects in the first robbery, but a composite image of a robber based on surveillance images and witness reports was released.
