JAY — When new Town Manager Shiloh LaFreniere takes over, staff members will have new duties and positions.
The Board of Selectpersons made new appointments that will go into effect Feb. 24.
Town Office Manager/Town Clerk Ronda Palmer will serve in her current positions and will also take on code enforcement officer and building inspector duties. LaFreniere currently holds these positions.
Highway foreman John Johnson will become the addressing officer. LaFreniere also currently serves in this position.
LaFreniere will hold several positions currently held by retiring Town Manager Ruth Cushman. Those positions are police commissioner, road commissioner and Freedom of Access officer.
Cushman’s last day at the office is Feb. 24.
