Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Feb. 18 were as follows: first, Claire Lyons and Priscilla Rooth; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; third, Jan and Vern Arey; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and Luke Merry; first in B, Claire Lyons and Priscilla Rooth; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all social bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.

East Otisfield food pantry open

OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road. The pantry is open on the fourth Friday of every month. For more information, call 539-4619.

HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, March 1 and 15. The Clothing Center is directly across from the church.

Three-entree community supper

MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic Falls Historical Society will hold a three-entree community supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, downstairs at the Congregational Hall at the Mechanic Falls Historical Society, 64 Elm St.

Originally promoted as the Almost Famous Roast Beef supper, turkey and ham has also been included in the menu. Diners will be able to choose to have a single entree or indulge with a slice from each. Homemade mashed potatoes, vegetables, cole slaw and desserts will also be included.

The society will also make the meal available as a to-go item. The society will have appropriate containers available for this feature. Diners are asked to bring their own bags to carry out multiple meals.

Corned beef, cabbage dinner on March 1

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold a St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage supper at 5:30 p.m. The meal will include vegetables, salads, breads and desserts.

There will also be a raffle.

Donations are requested for the meal. All proceeds benefit the outreach work of the Church. For more information, call Cyndy at 388-2667.

Orientation sessions at CareerCenter

PARIS — The WMCA CareerCenter in South Paris will host Orientations to Services/Training sessions at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 9 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, and 9 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Chamber of Commerce Building, 4 Western Ave.

Anyone who lacks skills to seek new employment and was laid off from their last job or is low income will want to attend and find out how the CareerCenter can help. There are some upcoming occupationally based skills training programs in the local area and additional training opportunities for those willing to travel. Online training options may also be available.
