Benefit supper for Diane Lefever

FAYETTE — A benefit supper for Diane Lefever of Fayette will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Fayette Central School.

Lefever has been recently diagnosed with lung cancer. She has a very challenging road ahead of her. The plan is to aggressively radiate the cancerous tumor five days a week for five weeks, then hit it with chemotherapy. Once the tumor has shrunk to an operable size the surgeon will remove it.

Money is being raised for the family to help with the medical, travel and any other unexpected expenses. Diane is married to Ken. They have five children, two of whom are still in school — William, a sophomore, and Adrian, a seventh-grader.

Raffles will be available. To donate money, something to raffle or a dish to offer for the dinner, contact Rhonda Purrington at 685-3921 or Heather Lefever (daughter to Diane and Ken) at 320-5488.
