ELKTON, Fla. — Robert Marcel Morin, 61, of Elkton, Fla., died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, Feb. 17.

He was born in Lewiston and had lived in Florida since 1983. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a deputy with the St. John County Sheriff’s Department, and later worked as a driver and in security with the St. John County Health Department.

He was a member of the Defenders Law Enforcement Motorcycle Group and St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He was a former member of the St. Augustine Cruisers.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, a brother, a sister, a niece, a nephew and grandchildren.
