AUGUSTA (AP) — A survey says Maine’s average heating oil price is unchanged from last week.

The Governor’s Energy Office said Monday that its weekly heating fuel survey showed the current cost of heating oil stands at $3.87 per gallon. That is 4 cents higher than this time last year.

The survey said prices were more stable this February than in 2013 and it predicted Mainers would pay more overall this winter due to colder temperatures.

The survey found a range from $3.60 to $4.20 for heating oil in Maine. It also found that price of propane increased one cent this week to $3.53 per gallon while kerosene increased 2 cents to $4.32 per gallon.
