GREENLAND, N.H. (AP) — A Boston man faces charges in both New Hampshire and Maine after police say he drove 108 mph on Interstate 95 before crashing into a snowbank.
New Hampshire State Police said a trooper tried to stop the car on I-95 in Greenland Tuesday afternoon but it continued speeding around the Portsmouth traffic circle and back onto the highway heading north. It eventually crossed over into Maine and crashed into the snowbank in Kittery.
Three men ran from the vehicle. Police said two were found in a building at the Kittery sewer treatment plant and the third was found by a police dog.
Twenty-eight-year-old Justin Santiago from the Dorchester section of Boston was charged with reckless operation, disobeying an officer and speeding. It wasn’t clear whether he had a lawyer Wednesday.
