JAY — Spruce Mountain High School has announced events for the week of Feb. 26 to March 8.

The Winter Sports Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the school gym. The banquet will honor the athletes from basketball, cheering and skiing.

Mrs. Weatherbee’s drama group will perform a one-act play, “The 4th Estate,” in front of the entire student body on Wednesday afternoon, March 5.

The group will travel to Skowhegan High School and compete in the Class B Regional Drama Festival one-act competition at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8.

The Military Entrance Exam, the ASVAB, will be offered on Thursday, March 6. Interested students should sign up in the guidance office.

At 1:40 p.m. Friday, March 7, there will be an assembly to honor the Student of the Month, the Phoenix Award winner and department award recipients.

Athletics for next week include: Friday, Feb. 28, Alpine Skiing at Mt. Abram Ski Area –  Giant Slalom; Saturday, March 1, Alpine Skiing States at Mt. Abram Ski Area —  Slalom.
