1951 – 2014

AUBURN — Amy Elizabeth Kern, 62, of Grandview Avenue in Auburn, died Friday, March 14, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston on July 3, 1951, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Foster) Kern Jr. She was educated in Auburn schools and attended the Social Learning Center in Lewiston for 40 years.

Amy was a member of the High Street Congregational Church in Auburn. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, bowling and fishing.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Foster Kern, of Auburn; three sisters, Allison Rosenblatt and husband, Jeffrey, of Albany Township, Nancy Haley and husband, Mark, of Belmont, Mass., and Barbara Kern of Augusta; a sister-in-law, Pamela Kern, of New Gloucester; eight nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, John Kern Jr.; and a brother, Peter Kern.
