1920 – 2014

AUBURN — Radelle D. Woodard, 94, of Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, at Bolster Heights Residential Center surrounded by family.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 3, 1920, the daughter of Ray E. and Delphina A. Smith Dearborn. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1937. Radelle married Harold L. Woodard on Dec. 5, 1937. A lifelong resident of the Lewiston-Auburn area, she worked for many years in retail and retired from Pathways in Auburn as lead cook.

An accomplished musician, Radelle sang in local choirs, choruses and community theater. Other interests included knitting, reading and swimming, and she especially enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Linda J. Woodard of Tampa, Fla., Lendall (Sylvia) Woodard of Greene and Laurie Woodard M.D. (Donald Smith M.D.) of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Susan (Michael) Poto, Jon (Cheryl) Woodard, Steven Woodard and Keir and Anika Smith; great-grandchildren, Abigail (Jacob) Casper, Megan and Noah Poto, Alexandria and Cameron Woodard and Daniel, Samuel and Grace Woodard; and a great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Casper.

She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Harold; and an infant daughter, Jean, in 1946.
