AUBURN — Central Maine Community College will host its annual spring open house for prospective students and their families from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5, at its lakeside campus, 1250 Turner St.
“We are excited to once again be hosting an open house,” said Director of Admissions and Financial Aid John Bowie. “Last year we made significant changes to the format of the event and we are encouraging visitors to take advantage of the many fun and informative activities that we are planning. As always, students who complete an admissions application at the open house will have their application fee waived.”
In addition to having all academic programs and student clubs and activities on display, the college will have staff on hand to assist students with the admissions and financial aid application processes. The event is free and refreshments will be served.
CMCC offers 24 career and technical programs that prepare graduates for immediate employment or to transfer to a four-year institution. In addition to on-campus housing and a large number of student clubs and activities, the college offers competitive athletics in men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and cross country.
