NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank has been named one of the 2013 Best Banks to Work For by American Banker and Best Companies Group.
In addition, the bank has also been honored with the Gold-Level Well Workplace Award by the Wellness Council of America. This award distinguishes the bank as one of the healthiest companies in America. The bank was also recognized as a Gold-Level Well Workplace in 2011.
Each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices and demographics were evaluated and employees were surveyed to assess the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace.
The Gold Award recognizes those companies that have successfully built comprehensive work-site wellness initiatives and are demonstrating and capturing concrete outcomes related to behavior change, productivity, cost effectiveness and return on investment. A Gold Award designation from WELCOA is a significant recognition by a world-renowned organization at the forefront of workplace health promotion.
