SMITH — Funeral services for Albertine Smith of Wilton were held Thursday afternoon, April 3, at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton, with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as the celebrant.

The service opened with the hymn, “How Great Thou Art,” followed by a memorial service conducted by members of the Farmington Emblem Club No. 460, during which the hymn, “The Old Rugged Cross,” was sung by the congregation. The 23rd Psalm, The Lord’s Prayer and first Corinthians:13 were shared. Her children, Michael Smith, Roberta Ranger and Dean Smith, all shared personal reflections as well as family and friends who gathered to honor her lifetime.

At the conclusion of her service, the song “The Wind Beneath My Wings” was shared in quiet reflection of gratitude. Following services, all were welcomed at the Farmington Elks Lodge for a comfort reception. Winter entombment is at the funeral home. Spring committal services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton.
