The Old Town Police Department, in partnership with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine State Police, will be hosting a Community-Parent Drug Awareness Forum at the Leonard Middle School from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.
Penbscot County Deputy Chief Troy Morton, State Trooper Barry Meserve, and Old Town Police Sgt. Lee Miller will speak about the effects of drugs on the body, the signs of drug use, where and how they are getting drugs, and how to reduce the risk of drug use by youth.
This program is being sponsored by the River Coalition and RSU 34. The program will include a light meal, childcare, door prizes, and incentives.
