SALEM TOWNSHIP — Diana Thomas, chairwoman of the RSU 58 school board, has called an emergency board meeting for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Abram High School.

Cynthia Dixon, secretary for Superintendent Brenda Stevens, announced the meeting in an email Wednesday evening.

The board will hold an executive session to discuss contract terms for a new superintendent, Thomas said.

Stevens announced earlier this year that she will retire in June.

A search committee has reviewed applicants.
