SUMNER — The Rev. Howard MacMullen invites the public to May events at the Congregational Church of East Sumner, 50 Main St. All events and proceeds benefit the mission outreach of the church, which includes church camp scholarships, local heat and home assistance, mission donations local and national, sponsorship of the Sumner Food Bank and community service.

On May 3, the 1st Saturday Supper at 5:30 p.m. will feature Mexican enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo, salad and dessert, and raffle items. Donations are requested for the meal.

On May 11, there will be a Sunday School presentation for the end of school-year classes, recognition of graduating seniors and a Blanket Sunday presentation to benefit Church World Service during worship at 9 a.m. SummerSunday classes start on May 18 from 9 to 10 a.m.

On May 17, the Annual Spring Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be perennials, annuals, baked goods, raffle items and hand crafted items. One raffle is a truckload of loam. Canned goods for the Food Bank ‘buy’ a raffle ticket.

Lunch will be sold and a tour of the church will be available. Crafters who would like a space in the church yard can contact Merriel at merribob@megalink.net.
