RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Gary W. Philbrick, Sr. was celebrated Thursday morning at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the  Rev. Antonio Amato as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Hosea” and “Fly Like A Bird.” Readings from the Old and New Testament were done by a son, Barry Philbrick. Prayers of the Faithful were recited by the Rev. Antonio Amato. The Eulogy was given by daughter-in-law, Marlene Philbrick. Gifts were presented by granddaughter, Brandi Deeb, and friend, Paige Carter. Bearers were Barry Philbrick, Brian Philbrick, Jason Philbrick, Mark Prevost, David Arsenault and Ethan Carter. A reception followed the Mass in the parish hall of the church. Interment will be conducted Monday morning at 11 a.m. at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
