TOPSHAM — The Maine Health Management Coalition has tapped Lorrie Marquis Potvin, MSM, as director of its health care measurement and public reporting initiatives, otherwise known as Pathways to Excellence.

As program director, Marquis Potvin will manage the coalition’s efforts to measure and publicly report health care quality and cost data on primary care practices, specialists, practice groups and hospitals. She will coordinate the PTE steering committees comprised of key stakeholders, including providers, purchasers, health plan representatives and consumers, who have guided the PTE initiatives.

Marquis Potvin comes to the coalition from St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, where she served as the director of strategic planning and chronic disease service lines. Since 2006, she held positions of increasing responsibility within the St. Mary’s Health System, during which time she developed extensive leadership and strategic planning qualifications.

Her background includes wide-ranging experience in administration, case and project management and marketing. She holds a master’s degree in management with concentration in health administration, and is a graduate of the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership Development Program.
