DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do you know of anyone who makes replacements for lawn swing canopies? I have shopped extensively for a 4- by 6-foot replacement and have not found one. Thanks. — Rene Couture, renjoy13@myfairpoint.net

ANSWER: In 2010 Sun Spots had a roll-up canvas awning made for her screened porch at Nuimage (101 Merrow Road, Auburn, 800-901-3313, www/nuimageawningsofmaine.com). It was a custom size with a good choice of fabric colors and designs, and she has been pleased.

If you look in the phonebook under awnings, there are quite a few choices. Among them is Dick Waters, J&W Awnings, Lisbon Falls, 207-353-8842, www.jwawning.com, jwawning@verizon.net.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I recently bought some fabric for a mudroom bench cushion and am now looking for someone to make/sew it for me. Do you have any suggestions in your contact lists? — evelyn.greenlaw@gmail.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots isn’t sure whether a “regular” seamstress would undertake the job or if you’d need an upholsterer. She’s provided both lists, in alphabetical order.

Please let Sun Spots know if anything has changed or if you want your service added to either list.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: When doing a church cookbook a few years back I purchased a carton of laser cartridges, which was way too many. If a nonprofit could use three premium compatible black cartridges CHCE505A, call 207-674-2481.

I use them in my HP LaserJet P2055dn, but they are compatible with some other HP printers. I am using one now, so if they are outdated, it seems they still work. — Beverly Stevens, bstevens@megalink.net
