WAYNE — At 6 p.m. Sunday, May 18, the Cary Memorial Library will present the Maranacook String Band in concert at the Ladd Center, Gott Rd.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. Soups and home baked desserts will be available for supper.

The Maranacook String Band is led by singer/song writer/educator and poet Stan Keach. The band has performed original songs, traditional bluegrass and contemporary folk and country music throughout New England for several years, gaining more and more of a following every time they perform.

An opening set will be offered by Wayne’s own Chris Cushman and his new band, an Irish Moment, consisting of guitar, fiddle and flute.

Tickets are $10 in advance at the library; $12 at the door; $5 students; $25 maximum for a family. Purchase tickets at the library or call 207-685-3612 to reserve. For more information, email [email protected]. Proceeds will benefit the library.
