BANGOR — A car crash on Interstate 95 has led to the arrest of a Danforth man on in methamphetamine trafficking charges.
State police investigating the single car crash near the Penobscot-Aroostook County line near Sherman on Tuesday night called the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency to the scene after discovering the driver was in possession of what appeared to be methamphetamine.
The vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Zachary Faulkner, was impounded and on Wednesday agents executing a search warrant on the vehicle uncovered evidence consistent with the manufacture of methampetamine.
Faulker, already in jail on charges related to the crash, was arrested Wednesday on drug charges.
He remains in jail. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer
