VESTAL, N.Y. — Georgette A. (Parent) Giroux, 88, of Vestal, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home on Mother’s Day, May 11, with her five children at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband, Laureat Giroux; her parents, Joseph and Louise Parent; and brother, Maurice, of Lewiston.
She is survived by her five loving children, including two daughters, Lorraine Gaik and Denise Giroux of New York; and three sons, Richard Giroux of North Carolina, Michael Giroux of Massachusetts and David Giroux of New York; and her loving grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Karl and Gavin. Georgette is also survived by her sister-in-law, Denyse Parent of West Buxton; and a niece, Carole (Mike) Gunville of California.
Georgette was a wonderful mother and devoted grandmother. She was strong in her faith, independent and she enjoyed life. She loved music, dancing, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family. We will miss you forever, Mom.
