1955 – 2014

AUBURN — Dennis L. Weston, 59, of Auburn passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, at the Hospice House. Dennis had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998 and multiple myeloma in 2011.

Dennis was born in Rumford on March 10, 1955, the only son of the late Lincoln Weston and Nancy (Larrivee) Weston. The family moved to Lewiston when he was very young, and Dennis attended Lewiston schools and worked for many years in the shoe industry, including Supreme Slipper, Billen Shoe, Knapp Shoe, Acorn Products, Custom Stitchers, and Ripley Industries, until he retired in 1999.

He married his wife, the former Joan McNeil, on June 10, 1988, and was very proud of having celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last year. Before his illnesses interfered with living his life the way he wanted, he was a friendly, fun-loving, generous, and gentle man who would do anything he could to help a friend.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; his nephew, David Johnson and fiancée, Melissa Knight; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles from the Weston and Larrivee families.

He was predeceased by his sister, Harriet Weston Johnson.
