MILAN, N.H. — Gloria A. Tibbetts, 79, of Milan, N.H., passed away on Wednesday, May 21, at her home.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., on July 14, 1934, a daughter of Clayson and Idel (Crotto) Vashaw and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1952 and had been employed by Converse Rubber Co. and Altama Delta.
Gloria loved family parties and enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, quilting and crafts.
Family includes her husband, Alfred C. Tibbetts, of Milan, N.H.; children, James Tibbetts and wife, Doris, of Havana, Fla., Linda Hayward and husband, Ken, of Bucksport, William Tibbetts and wife, Bev, of Milan, N.H., Lorna Tibbetts of Laconia, N.H., Kathy Hawkins and husband, Clyde, of Berlin, N.H., and her seventh child, Dan “Jake” Tibbetts and wife, Celeste, of Milan, N.H.; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Vashaw of Venice, Fla., and Leslie Vashaw of Berlin, N.H.; sisters, Pearl “Wee” Lessard of Berlin, N.H., Sally Laberge of Dummer, N.H., and Evette Morel of Gilford, N.H.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles, on Jan. 11, 2008; and a brother, Edward “Butch” Vashaw.
