As a Democrat from Oxford County, I am a proud supporter of Eliot Cutler for governor.
Cutler should be Maine’s next governor because, to paraphrase the late President John F. Kennedy, Cutler won’t choose the Democratic answer or the Republican answer; he will choose the best answer for Maine. He is not focused on where to place blame for the past, but on accepting responsibility for the future.
In my eight years in the Maine House I have seen first-hand the quagmire that results from party politics. Neither party has all the answers that Maine needs.
Cutler is a strong leader, a successful businessman, an independent thinker and, perhaps most importantly, he is not indebted to a political party hierarchy in Augusta.
And, unlike political parties, his vision for Maine goes well beyond the next election.
I hope others will join me in voting for Eliot Cutler for governor.
