Yard, plant sale June 7
RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will hold its annual yard sale and plant sale on the grounds of the Lufkin School Museum in Rumford Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Rain date is June 14, but plant sale will be held rain or shine.
For the first time, the Society will have three master gardeners and two landscape specialists available to answer questions. The flower and vegetable sets and perennial potted plants are donated to the Society by Nghia Ha.
There will also be a food table of delicious home-made pastries and coffee, and Ray Barker’s red hot dogs topped with his special relishes, kraut, onions, plus the usual ketchup and mustard.
The Lufkin School Museum will be open for tours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well. The artifacts of Rumford’s history are a testament to the hard-working ancestors of the region.
Plant sale to benefit museum
MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society Keepers of the Past for Mexico will hold a benefit plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, rain or shine, across from the Veterans Bridge on the corner of Route 2 and Water Street
There will be tomato plants, rhubarb plants, pepper plants, annual and perennial flowers plants and house plants.
Proceeds will be used to raise money for repairs and upkeep of Wills Museum building, the home of Mexico’s history.

RUMFORD — Mexico High School Class of 1969 will have a class reunion meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Gatch’s.
Stephens High School Class of 1955
DIXFIELD — The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Front Porch Cafe for their monthly luncheon meeting.

MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1951 will hold its monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Covered Wagon. All classmates are welcome.

RUMFORD — St. Barnabas Episcopal rummage and food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, on the Rotary.
For sale will be household items, books, clothing and home-baked goods.
