LEWISTON — Two partners at the Berman & Simmons law firm have been named as leaders within the American Association for Justice, the preeminent national organization for trial lawyers. Michael Bigos and Benjamin Gideon were selected for the posts by the Board of Governors of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.

Bigos, a resident of Auburn, was named as a Revitalization Governor for the AAJ Board of Governors. This position is reserved for only one lawyer in each state.

Gideon, a Portland native who now lives in Freeport, was named as a state delegate.

Bigos and Gideon join a third partner at Berman & Simmons, Daniel Kagan, in service to the American Association for Justice. Kagan, also of Freeport, has served on the AAJ Board of Governors since 1998.

Berman & Simmons, 129 Lisbon St., celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
