BETHEL — SAD 44 Superintendent David Murphy said Tuesday night that the five towns in the school district approved a $10.56 million budget by a vote of 611-386.

Voting for the budget were Bethel, 295-137; Greenwood, 57-19; and Woodstock, 91-27.

Newry voted against the budget 63-72, as did Andover, 105-131.

The budget is $192,915 more than this fiscal year, which ends June 30.
