AUBURN — Helen L. Smith, 68, of Poland, died Tuesday, June 17, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Bridgton on Nov. 6, 1945, a daughter of Edward L. and Charlotte K. Varney. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1964. Helen married Wayne W. Smith; they enjoyed 37 years of marriage, before his passing. She had been employed in the local shoe industry for 25 years, then at Hannaford Bros. on Sabattus Street in Lewiston for 18 years.
She loved her cats and enjoyed camping.
Helen was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Patricia L. Edwards.
