UPDATED 12:39 P.M.: The Maine Warden Service plans a 2 p.m. Tuesday press conference to update the public on the search for Ruth Francis Brennan.

WATERFORD — The Maine Warden Service continued searching Tuesday for 77-year-old Ruth Francis Brennan of 6 Spur Ridge Road in Waterford, who was last scene Monday afternoon. 

Maine Game Wardens, Maine State Troopers, Oxford County Sheriff’s Deputies, an Air National Guard helicopter, and K9 units continued a ground and air search early Tuesday morning. Brennan was last seen at 5 Kezars Road in Waterford heading towards Melby’s Store in Waterford around 3 p.m., according to Corporal John MacDonald of the Maine Warden’s Service.

Brennan is described as 5-feet, 2-inches tall and was last seen wearing a crew neck striped shirt, capri-style blue jeans, tan hat, light beige sneakers and light green socks. Brennan does have dementia.

Oxford County Sheriff’s deputies conducted door-to-door searches Monday evening. Canine teams continued searching through the night.

A mobile command post has been established at the Waterford Fire and Rescue building located at 366 Valley Road in Waterford.
