‘Celtic invasion’
coming to Phillips,
Skye and Deertrees

New England Celtic Arts will present The Tartan Terrors at Phillips Area Community Center on Tuesday, July 22, at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center in South Carthage on Wednesday, July 23, and at Deertrees Theatre in Harrison on Thursday, July 24. Curtain is 7 p.m.at Skye Theatre and Phillips, and 7:30 at Deertrees. A pre-show jam session at Skye starts at 6:15.

Tartan Terrors are their own Celtic Invasion, mixing rock’s energy with traditional folklore, dance  and humor. With an arsenal featuring classic pipes and fiddle, driving drum tones, and signature guitar styles, standing-room-only audiences understand why Dig This Magazine declares “(The Terrors) one act to keep an eye on!” The Terrors use their Sonic blitz to score award winning step and highland dancers and internationally recognized comedic performers alike.

Members of the Tartan Terrors have performed on four different continents; in some of the most prestigious festivals, highland games and theaters of North America.

Ellen Irmisch  Ian Irmisch and been co directing the Tartan Terrors since 1996. Ian has an extensive career in the professional arts. At the age of 5 he had already performed in the prestigious Great Hall of Hamilton Place, and he has never looked back. Ian has appeared with the Spirit of a Nation Tour, Charlottetown Festival, Robin Hood, Ross Petty Productions, 42nd Street, Hamilton Theatre Inc., Brigadoon, Drury Lane Productions and across the UK.

Skye Theater is located 3 miles West of East Dixfield village at 2 Highland Drive off Winter Hill Road and  Route 2 in South Carthage. The Phillips Community Center is on 21 Depot St. in Phillips.
