FREEPORT — Democratic strategist James Carville is the keynote speaker at the Maine Democratic Party’s annual summer fundraiser.

The Muskie Lobster Bake is being held Sunday at the Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport, where party faithful are getting a chance to hear from Carville and meet Democratic candidates.

On hand for the event are Mike Michaud, who’s engaged in a three-way race for governor; Shenna Bellows, who’s trying to unseat Sen. Susan Collins; Emily Cain, who’s running for the open 2nd Congressional District seat; and incumbent Rep. Chellie Pingree, who’s up for re-election.

Carville said that in addition to boiling lobsters he promised “to put a little heat on your Republican governor’s economic record, too.”
