JAY — The Jay Village Water District lifted a boil-water order Monday for customers who were effected by a water break Friday on Smith Avenue.
The water break was fixed Saturday morning and water was turned back on.
Water samples were tested at a lab in Augusta and determined safe for public consumption, Treasurer Ron Moreau said Monday.
“The water district wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident.,” he said. “With special thanks to all who dedicated their time and talents to getting the word out and repairing the damage to the system.”
