Swinger to rock at last program
RUMFORD — Rumford Public Library, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, will host Martin Swinger in a rollicking round of rhythm.
Swinger has been teaching songwriting to students in classrooms, after-school programs, libraries, festivals, summer camps and family gatherings for 12 years.
He sings the National Anthem for the State Senate and has performed at L. L. Bean’s Discovery Park. Swinger is the host and producer of an original cable television show, “Alive! From Johnson Hall,” a concert series featuring Maine musicians.
This is the final program for the summer. After the performance, staff will present reading awards and have cake and ice cream. All area children are welcome.
Friday night music jams
RUMFORD — Friday night music jams will be held at the Rumford American Hall Post 24, Congress Street, from 7 to 10 p.m. The jam is open to the public. there will be a food and beverage bar.
Summer concerts at Mexico park
MEXICO — Summer concerts at the Mexico Recreation Park will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Sept. 1.
L & L Country with Zach Hodge will be on stage every week, weather permitting.
