1935 – 2014

AUBURN — Damien R. Perreault of Lewiston died Sunday, July 27, at the Hospice House, with his family by his side.

He was born in St. Methode, Quebec, on Nov. 15, 1935, a son of the late Ludger and Aline Plante Perreault, and was educated in Canadian schools.

Damien was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and Holy Cross Senior Citizens. He worked at Pioneer Plastics prior to his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, biking, trapping and collecting items with potential future use. Damien will be remembered for his ability to fix just about anything and his willingness to help family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gisele C. Bolduc, of Lewiston, whom he married on May 21, 1960; his son, Daniel and wife, Janet Perreault, of Lewiston; his daughter, Nancy and husband, Daniel Wood, of Sabattus; four grandchildren, Becky Perreault and fiancé, Mike Knapp, Michael Perreault, Brittany Wood and fiancé, Dave Milligan, and Katelynn Wood and Andrew Gatchell; six brothers, Paul Amie and Roseanne, Roland and Aline, Armand and Yolande, Edward and Madeleine, Leonard and Denise and Maurice and Gloria Perreault; two sisters, Rose Alice Doyon and Carmel Vachon; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Denis Bolduc, Robert Bolduc and Sylvie, Michel and Francine Bolduc, Lise and Richard Gosselin, Hugette Bolduc and Bernard Doyon, Cecile and Jocelynn Paradis, Sylvie and Gerard Lessard and Laurien Drouin.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Hospice House in Auburn, Drs. Erickson, Jensen, Mailhot and Brown, and Central Maine Medical Center for their great care of Damien during his long battle with cancer.
