PORTLAND — Cullen Alcide Deschenes, of Farwell Street in Lewiston, died on Sunday, Aug. 3, from complications of surgery at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was nine days old.
Cullen was born on July 25, 2014, a son of Darren and Ashley (Palmer) Deschenes. He had a congenital heart defect known as HLHS. He was truly strong and fought to the very end.
He leaves his parents, Darren and Ashley, and his two brothers, Dominic and Oliver, of Lewiston; as well as his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much.
The family would like to send a very special thank-you to Dr. Reed Quinn and Dr. Jon Donnelly, along with the rest of the congenital heart staff, and all of the nurses at Maine Medical Center. You gave so much to keep Cullen fighting.
