Animal Advocates yard sale this weekend

DIXFIELD — The River Valley Animal Advocates will hold its fifth annual yard sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Aug. 15-17, at the corner of Weld and North streets.

Proceeds will be used to spay, neuter and vaccinate local cats.

Society plans supper; seeks volunteers

MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society invites members, new members and guest to join us at the Wills Homestead Museum at 3 Oxford St. at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18.

A potluck supper will be followed by a short business meeting.

The house is nearly painted but volunteers are still needed to finish painting the barn. There is also a need for additional recipes for the cookbook.
