Danville Grange annual picnic

AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will gather around 4 p.m. for their annual picnic on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Hatch Farm, 332 Leeds Junction Road in Wales.

Members are to bring a picnic lunch, a dessert or salad to share, and lawn chairs. A grill is available for those wishing to cook. All members and guests are welcome.

The rain date will be on Aug. 28.

Community Center meeting Aug. 19

AUBURN — The Lake Auburn Community Center committee meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the property, 115 North Auburn Road.

The public is invited to come early or anytime between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on any day. The center is free to the public, but please consider bringing your returnables to help fund projects.

The meeting will include interesting updates and progress reports.

Both Project Canopy and the Recreational Trail Grant programs are in full swing with many upgrades already finished. Disc golfing is set up with additional horseshoe pits and a host of new features outlined in a new plan accepted by the City of Auburn.
