AUBURN — Auburn City Council workshop and regular meeting. Workshop begins at 5:30 p.m. and topics include tax-acquired property discussions, a zoning change proposal for a Taylor Pond property, the proposed purchase of a hangar at the Auburn Lewiston Municipal Airport and a closed-door executive session. The regular meeting begins at 7 p.m. and topics include city bonding and property-tax changes.

LEWISTON — School Committee, 6:45 p.m., Dingley Building, downtown Oak Street. Agenda: creation of new redistricting committee and planning for new elementary school construction to replace Martel Elementary; final vote on athletic eligibility policy, proposed commercial signs in sports fields at Franklin Pasture.

LEWISTON — Finance Committee Meeting 5:15 p.m. in the Administrator’s Conference Room on the first floor of Lewiston City Hall.

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 20

AUBURN — School Committee, Auburn Hall, at 5:30 p.m. for workshop on performance evaluation for teachers and principals, proficiency-based diploma extension. Regular meeting at 7 p.m. with guidance counselors talking about Advocates for Children curriculum.

AUBURN — Meeting with recreation and other groups to discuss who might use an indoor turf field at the Ingersoll Arena, 6 p.m. in the Hasty Community Center. The center is the Pettingill Park area, next door to Ingersoll Arena.

THURSDAY, Aug. 21

AUBURN — Downtown Auburn Photo Tours, starting at 7 p.m. at the Kait Lavin Photography Court Street Studio, 154 Court St. Auburn. Alan Manoian will provide insight on Auburn’s architectural history while Lavin will provide photography tips.
