INDUSTRY — A walker was injured Tuesday morning on Times Square Road off Clearwater Lake when two large dogs bit her legs.
Susan Grant was walking at approximately 10 a.m. when a German shepherd and a black Labrador retriever mix came at her, Franklin County Sheriff Deputy Matt Brann said.
One dog bit one leg, and the other dog bit her other leg, he said.
Grant got away from the dogs and ran to a nearby friend’s house to keep away from them, he said.
Although NorthStar Emergency Services arrived at the scene, Grant intended to go to the hospital on her own, Brann said. The bite on one leg may require stitches.
The dogs are owned by Richard and Stacy Austin. The owners were cooperative and working with the animal control officer to provide an update on the dogs’ shots, he said.
No charges were filed at Grant’s request, Brann added.
Industry First Responders responded to help at the scene along with Brann, NorthStar and animal control, he said.
