RUMFORD — Selectmen will have a lengthy agenda to tackle at their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Rumford Falls Auditorium.

There are four old-business items on the agenda. These include Peter Orino’s request to permanently close McKenzie Hill, an update on the 2007 street sweeper by Public Works Superintendent Andy Russell, appointment of the town attorney, and a request from Envision Rumford! to revisit the festival event license fee.

New business items include:

* A request from Jim Rinaldo for funding for a portable toilet for a boating event on the river.

* A discussion to rescind a motion for expenditure for the street sweeper from the contingency account; an amount to balance the Public Safety account would be transferred from the contingency account.

* A presentation by Seth Carey on the Rumford Fitness Trail.

* Approval of the rink-paving bid for the Parks and Recreation Department.

* A request from Envision Rumford! to place signs for the Pumpkin Fest.

* A discussion to carry forward the designated fund balance accounts.

* A request from the Eagles Club to extend its liquor license to the parking area for a three-day event.

* Approvals of donation agreements from Wells Fargo for 127 Washington St. and 239 Penobscot St. and authorizations for the town manager to sign.

Two public hearings (if needed) are scheduled to take place after the Pledge of Allegiance. One is for a hawker’s and peddler’s license for Scott Clough, doing business as Scooter’s Dogs; the other is a liquor license application and special amusement permit for Gatch’s Food & Spirits.

Later in the board meeting, selectmen are to discuss approving these licenses and permits and will field a request from Bonnie Gatchell, doing business as Gatch’s, to extend the liquor license to the outdoor patio.
