Wednesday was the official start of Maine’s fall foliage season. Trees like this one were already sporting colorful leaves Thursday morning on the University of Maine at Farmington campus. Gale Ross, Maine’s fall foliage spokesman in Augusta, said the state is anticipating spectacular autumn foliage.
