Many veterans, including myself, owe a lot to Congressman Mike Michaud. A few years ago, I wanted to get all my military medals to show my family and friends and was told that his office would do that. I applied for them, made some arrangements and Michaud and several other officials came to present them to me at a ceremony where I live.

I got the idea to do that for some other veterans, which I did, and on three occasions he came again to present them himself, to eight other veterans.

I am a committee member of the Lewiston-Auburn Community Based Outpatient Clinic (VA clinic), as is Michaud, and he and Maine’s two senators really helped to get a veterans clinic in Lewiston-Auburn. We worked on that for several years and I am proud to have served on that committee.

For those reasons, I will be voting for Mike Michaud for governor.
