LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a Brown Bag Discussion about Alzheimer’s disease, “Know the 10 Warning Signs,” from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2. The presenter will be Mark Pechenik, director of Community Engagement and Outreach, Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Information about how to detect and respond to possible signs of Alzheimer’s disease will be presented. This program will emphasize the need for early detection of dementia and will help clear up many misconceptions about Alzheimer’s. For companies, this program will be very helpful for employees struggling with their own concerns about Alzheimer’s disease, as well as informative for the business community in general.
